Standalone Video People Counter is a compact and precise embedded device based on advanced binocular stereo vision technology. The equipment can be used for passenger counting of buses, metros and trains, as well as for people entering and leaving shopping malls, buildings or restricted areas. It can be easily installed on the top of doorframe, corridor and hall.
Video images of passengers are captured by binocular cameras, and the height, shape and direction of all objects in the images are analyzed, so as to accurately determine whether the object is human, and the direction of human entry and exit, accurately accumulate the number of people in and out, and superimpose the date and time to generate an entry and exit record. Binocular camera built-in infrared LED lighting can adapt to any light environment, even in full black conditions can work properly.
The data of the visitors in and out can be transmitted through RS485, RS232, TCP/IP and SD disk. The built-in independent digital I/O port can be easily connected with other devices or door-switching devices. If connected to Mobile DVR, it can mark the video segment when someone passes by, which is convenient for playback and retrieval after the event, and can make up for the inaccuracy of the counter. If the door is connected to the switch, the counter can be set to stop counting when the door is closed.
If the door width is more than 120 cm, the number counter provides an application mode that connects two or more counters to work together to complete the number counting, and the same person will not be counted repeatedly. An additional counter is required for every 60 cm.

Accuracy of detection
The accuracy of population statistics can be as high as 99% (the actual test accuracy is 94% 99% depending on the congestion situation in the bus), and it can effectively overcome and eliminate the interference caused by various unexpected situations on the spot of population statistics.
