Sina Finance 27, according to a report released Thursday by Cowen, an investment bank on Wall Street, US retail traffic is expected to remain weak at the last shopping window in December, despite favorable weather conditions.

Coven's U.S. retail team's outlook is that in the fourth week of December, U.S. retail traffic fell 7% to 9% year-on-year, up 5.6% year-on-year.

"The fourth week of December will be generally warmer than last year, which is a positive factor for last-minute holiday shopping," wrote analyst Oliver Chen

Mr Cowen said retail traffic in the previous week was also poor, with it down 11 per cent year-on-year in the week to December 21 and 9.4 per cent in the same period last year.
