How does the subway ensure the prevention of virus transmission during the epidemic?

Passenger terminal and transportation of subway means are crowded places, and there is a greater risk of epidemic transmission. In order to strengthen the prevention and control of the epidemic, Beijing Subway controls the full load rate according to the standard of not more than 50%. How does the Beijing Metro implement  realtime passenger traffic counting monitoring?

On the walls of the Beijing Subway Emergency Center, real-time images and the latest data of Beijing subway stations and passenger flows are displayed on different electronic screens. According to reports, during the epidemic, the Beijing Subway Company on the one hand formulated an extraordinary and super-strong operating map to reduce the train interval to increase capacity, on the other hand, strengthened the analysis and dispatch of network passenger flow. Real-time monitoring of inbound, outbound, passenger flow and cross-section full load rate, and prompts in different colors.

The green section indicates that the full load rate of this section is now below 40%, and the yellow section indicates that the current full load rate of this section is above 40% and below 50%. When the train full load rate exceeds 50%, our corresponding section will display brown, and when the train full load rate exceeds 60%, the corresponding section will display red.

When the staff finds that the corresponding section value exceeds the predetermined value, it will issue a current limit command directly to the station, organize the station to perform current limit work, control the speed of passengers entering the station, and control the congestion of the train.

When we reach a yellow section like this (full load rate is between 40% and 50%), we start an early warning to notify the relevant stations and let them prepare for the current limit; if this brown is reached (Full load rate is more than 50%), we start the second warning, and organize the relevant large passenger flow stations to take current limiting measures to control the speed of passengers entering the station; when it appears red (full load rate exceeds 60%), we take The highest-level three-level response mechanism, that is, the relevant stations simultaneously take current limiting measures, increase the current limiting efforts to control the train full load rate.

According to reports, the current daily passenger traffic of the Beijing Subway is equivalent to about 30% of the pre-epidemic situation. As people continue to resume work, the passenger flow of the subway has gradually increased, and the Beijing Subway will continue to adjust the operating organization plan according to the volume of passenger traffic.
